International Visual Arts Festival
ART CIRCLE International is dedicated to professional artists and curators. Artists are selected by an international jury for specific events several times a year following an open call. The artworks created during the residency time remain in the ART CIRCLE collection. These works are exhibited to the public after the residency in Slovenia and at subsequent exhibitions abroad. In this way, ART CIRCLE helps to bring contemporary art to non-urban regions.

Why the CIRCLE
ART CIRCLE. The circle in the name is used as a symbol of connecting, interweaving contents and actors involved in several social networks that make up the project. The circle also defines the multitude of cultural events.

Vipolže Villa
In the circle of connecting cultural heritage and contemporary art, the Vipolže villa has hosted the international art project ART CIRCLE International since 2018.

Art Circle is an international visual arts festival. Since its beginnings in 1997 it has brought together for a week, on the entire Brda region and a portion of the Vipava Valley, artists from all over the world, winemakers, tourist operators and representatives of several embassies in Slovenia.
