An international art residency dedicated specifically to sculptors working in wood and stone, designed in collaboration with local partners Lo-Ko Lokve and hosted by Gostilna Lokve. We find the environment of the Trnovo plateau extremely original and suitable for the dissemination of cultural content, artistic creativity and social interaction between artists and the local population, which has been familiar with wood and stone since its permanent settlement in the area.
The Sculpture International Artists’ Residency is a professionally designed residency for contemporary sculptors selected by an international jury following an open call for applications. The residency is accompanied by an art historian, curator Klavdija Figelj and the ART CIRCLE International team. Each year we host up to six sculptors from all over the world.
The sculptural works created become part of the public-private collection FORMA VIVA LOKVE / ART CIRCLE International, which is placed around the village of Lokve. The catalogues present the paths Walking from statue to statue.
